Andy Warhol (1928-1987.)

This is the companion book that accompanied the lithograph print "Still Life After the Party" offered as livres d’artiste from Interview magazine 1979. I ordered this directly from Andy Warhol's Interview magazine.

A New York auction house auctioned the print twelve years ago but would not include the book. I was puzzled by their decision, quizzed them on it, but went ahead with the sale.

Ten years later I offered the book to the same auction house and they declined unless I also included the print! I pointed out this discrepancy and they apologized and offered to auction the book for me but suggested I sell it on my own.

Hence, I am offering it now. (I can document this with the auction house's emails. They are good people).
